3 Tips For Saving Your Blowout In Sweaty Summer Situations

There’s nothing better than having your hair professionally shampooed and styled. You feel stylish, fresh and confident. So what do you do when your strands prematurely melt, curl or lose its glamorous look?

Salon owner and stylist, Jordan Solvie, has three (3) tips for clients:

  1. Like to Sweat? Hiking, running, cycling or playing outdoors in the heat in Montana is our way of life but it can be tough to protect your blowout. It can be done. ‘Try a top-knot with a sweatband on your forehead. Blow-dry excess sweat or Dry shampoo is also a great option to keep that styled hair clean and dry’, says Solvie.
  1. In the Sun: At Bozeman Beach, floating the river or playing in the pool, you can protect hair from the sun and other elements with argan oil. It’s light in texture and also works to condition and protect hair from UV rays.
  1. Beauty Sleep: Solvie advises twisting your strands in a topknot while sleeping. ‘In the morning, just take down the topknot, give your hair a light mist with a texturizing product and you’re ready to go‘, she adds. The goal is to keep your hair off of your neck so a loose, high ponytail also works.

If you could keep one product on-hand, it would be dry shampoo. A quick spray on the roots will add volume and lengthen the life of a blowout in almost any situation.
